Proposed Jubilee Heights Site Development Rejected by Brent Planning Committee

Following actions by taken by JHCL, supported by many individuals, residents and leaseholders on the complex, the proposal to construct a new, entirely independent apartment block to the North of the Jubilee Heights building was rejected on July 2nd by the Brent Planning Committee despite a recommendation from the Planning Department to approve.

This represents a victory for JHCL and a first example of the way that the alignment of Freeholder, Leaseholder and Residents’ interests can bring benefits to all stakeholders.

That battle was won but more remains to be done. The Committee will review the application and its grounds for rejection again, possibly at its next meeting on August 26th.

JHCL is currently briefing its planning consultant on next steps.
